Monte Cristo Toronto Italian Restaurant and Piano Bar review

.

If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant with a fine dining experience complete with piano bar, Monte Cristo's is a good choice. The Toronto Italian restaurant is run by three brothers in the Philopes family: Filepo, Massimo and Ciro. This place has style and is the perfect place for a nice romantic dinner in the city of Toronto.

The food is prepared with flare, and although other Toronto restaurant reviews have pegged some of Monte Cristo's entrees as a bit pricey, the ambiance and menu selection makes up for the extra few dollars you'll spend for dining in style.

It can sometimes be difficult to find vegetarian restaurants in Toronto, let alone vegetarian meals on a menu in a Toronto restaurant, but the Monte Cristo doesn't disappoint. Vegetarian and carnivores alike should try the mouth watering marinated and roasted zucchini with potatoes and red peppers. Served in artful stack with a creamy sunchoke puree.

Other items on menu include lamb, sirloin, fresh fish and seafood, exquisite Italian breads, fine cheeses and smoked venison salamis, and of course many Italian deserts are on the menu for rounding off the meal.

Burrito Boyz, Review of Toronto's Best Burrito Restaurant

Burrito Boyz, Toronto's Best Burrito Restaurant

If you want Taco Bell, turn left at the McDonalds. If you want a real burrito, home made and packed with all fresh ingredients, check out Burrito Boyz. No, this isn't fine dining - heck, we're talking about wolfing down messy, if delicious, burritos here - but if you are in the area it is an experience worth checking out.

Unlike some fast food chains, all their vegetables are very fresh and they also use quality ingredients including shredded Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, rice, refried pinto beans. Available to top off your burrito is sour cream, guacamole and a special home made mayo and fresh lime sauce. If you like a bit of kick, try the garlic/sour cream sauce spcied with hot chili powder. These are burritos at their best baby.

George, Toronto Restaurant Review

George, Toronto Restaurant Review

Lots of of people rave about George restaurant, and a quite a few don't. The line between having a good experience or a poor one, may be dependent on your expectations. The fact is that this restaurant and it's fine culinary chef have gotten a lot of attention over time and that of course raises everyone's expectations.

It has been said that it's difficult to compare George to other restaurants in the city because it's not your average "Toronto fine dining" experience. The chef, Lorenzo Loseto loves his art, and the meals served here are a delight to the eyes as well as the tastebuds.

Everything on the menu is home made in the kitchen, including delicious flat breads, pastas and deserts. Don't miss the rack of lamb, a raviolo, stuffed with boniato root vegetables, spinach and spiced with a curry ratatouille.

Strand Steakhouse Toronto Restaurant

The Strand Steakhouse Restaurant

The Strand is great choice for a nice steakhouse restaurant with excellent food and service. The days of it's greasy spoon history are bygone, and the restaurant has been converted to a very chic dining experience. If you go, be sure to try the gnocchi appetizers, and after dinner if you still have the ability to bypass desert after window shopping the platter they bring around, you are a strong willed person indeed.
